The dynamic US brand New Balance for your success on the tennis court

The well-known US label New Balance has become one of the most famous brands in tennis worldwide. The distinctive “NB” logo also became globally recognisable partly because Apple's charismatic founder Steve Jobs usually stood on stage in New Balance trainers during his eagerly awaited product presentations. The brand was founded in 1906 in Boston, Massachusetts, as the “New Balance Arch Support Company”. The company originally started out making orthopaedic insoles and, over the years, grew into one of the world's leading manufacturers of sports shoes and clothing. The brand is known for its high-quality shoes, made in the USA and the UK. After five decades of company history came a true milestone: the firm designed the so-called “Trackster”, a running shoe with a wave-shaped sole and different widths. In the years that followed the product line was steadily expanded, and sales climbed continuously as a result. One reason for this was its enormous marketing campaigns.

New Balance stands for an athletic, high-performance look with its tennis collection

New Balance's production strategy sets it apart from many other sports brands, which manufacture their products mainly in Asia. New Balance places great emphasis on innovation and quality, which is reflected in its products, developed for both recreational players and professionals alike. The tennis collection is accordingly very technical. The functional materials ensure reliable moisture transport, and the cuts radiate dynamism.

World-ranked tennis players kitted out by New Balance

New Balance repeatedly signs prominent brand ambassadors from the WTA and ATP tours. Coco Gauff, for example, currently plays in New Balance clothing and trainers. The American top player is known for her impressive performances on the WTA tour, wears New Balance, and has even developed her own trainer line with the brand, the “Coco CG1”. No less successful is Sofia Kenin. The 2020 Australian Open champion is also among the prominent tennis pros who wear New Balance on tour.

Among the men, Tommy Paul, who has firmly established himself in the Top 20, is part of New Balance's athlete team.
